Mission: The Hip Hop Congress is a 501 (c) 3 Non Profit Corporation. The Hip Hop Congress provides the Hip Hop Generation and the Post Hip Hop Generation with the tools, resources and opportunities to make social, economic and political change on a local, regional and national level. Hip Hop Congress is the product of a merger of artists and students, music and community. It achieves this mission in a variety of ways. Hip Hop Congress Meetings of Rockford are made to learn more about the local hip hop community and create positive images of hip hop by politically, economically, and socially being involved with the community. These meetings are for artists, emcees, DJs, Bboys, political, community and economic activists, music lovers, poets, leaders, idealists, dancers, college and high school students, and for everybody who care about the community and hip hop’s impact on it.
